W Hydrocolloids, Inc., a global leader in carrageenan and seaweed-based ingredients, is looking for an experienced R&D Supervisor to drive product innovation, ensure quality, and support our continued growth in the food and ingredient industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide the daily operations of the R&D laboratory, ensuring adherence to good laboratory practices.
  • Review, validate, and approve all technical documentation, reports, and samples, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of data before client or internal release.
  • Collaborate with your team to develop new products, test alternative raw materials, and propose forward-thinking formulations that align with client needs and sustainability goals.
  • Deliver clear, confident technical presentations to clients and stakeholders, helping translate technical knowledge into customer solutions.
  • Play an active role in internal and third-party quality audits, maintain lab equipment records, and contribute to ISO certification processes.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for process non-conformance and lead the implementation of corrective actions that prevent future issues.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Nutrition, or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of R&D experience in the food industry
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong laboratory and product development skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities
  • The drive to lead, adapt, and innovate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
