The Food Supervisor shall monitor and supervise the daily manpower in the operations, timely reporting of expired items, signages, and maintaining cleanliness of selling area. He or she ensures that merchandising standards for all merchandise in the store are met and maintained.

As a duty supervisor, he or she should also see to it that the opening & closing procedures are complied with and have maximum efficiency.

The Food Supervisor has the following core responsibilities and principal accountabilities:

  • Ensures proper display and cleanliness of area in accordance with set standards and procedures.
  • Conducts splinter meetings with his direct reports and ensures regular floor walk with them.
  • Prepares weekly work schedules of his direct reports.
  • Ensures timely submission of near-expiry and expiry reports on a weekly basis.
  • Checks daily Receiving Summary and review weekly SKU Report to determine how to merchandise each category and verifies appointment versus order dates.
  • Monitors FIFO and FEFO System for coded merchandise.
  • Ensure that six (6) Right of Merchandising and Stocking are being done at all times.
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Graduate
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in industry
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office, JDA, SAP
