About the role

QQ English is seeking a motivated Payroll Officer to join our team in Cebu City, Cebu. This full-time position is an integral part of our finance operations, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. As Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining our strong financial controls and contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the entire payroll process, including calculating salaries, deductions, and benefits for all employees.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
  3. Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
  4. Process monthly payroll and prepare necessary reports and filings.
  5. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
  6. Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll data and address any discrepancies.
  7. Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems and processes.

What we're looking for

  1. At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll role.
  2. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and best practices.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  4. Proficiency in using payroll software and spreadsheet applications.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Bachelor's degree.
