About the role

SteelAsia Manufacturing Corporation is seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to join our team in Meycauayan City, Bulacan. As Inventory Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient management and control of our inventory operations. This is a full-time position that will involve hands-on responsibility for maintaining accurate inventory levels, optimising stock levels, and ensuring timely procurement and distribution of materials.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the inventory team to ensure accurate record-keeping, proper stock handling, and timely order processing
  2. Analyse inventory data and generate reports to identify trends, minimise stock discrepancies, and recommend strategies to optimise inventory levels
  3. Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align inventory management with business needs
  4. Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems, policies, and procedures
  5. Train and mentor inventory staff to improve their skills and efficiency
  6. Monitor and address inventory-related issues, such as damaged or obsolete stock, and take corrective actions
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies regarding inventory management

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory-related problems
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  4. Proficient in using inventory management software and tools, such as ERP systems
  5. Thorough understanding of inventory control principles, logistics, and supply chain management
  6. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  7. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records
