Overview:

The Service Category Manager - Off-Premises / Cloud Solutions plays a strategic role in an organization's procurement process, specifically focusing on cloud computing and related services. This role responsible for overseeing the strategy, governance, vendor management, performance, and continuous improvement of cloud-based IT services. This role ensures the efficient delivery of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services, aligns with organizational objectives, and supports innovation and cost optimization in off-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy & Development:

· Develop and implement sourcing strategies for off-premises/cloud services (hardware, software, networking, and support).

· Monitor cloud service trends and innovations to identify opportunities for service improvement and cost efficiency.

Sourcing & Procurement:

· Lead or support the sourcing and negotiation of contracts with cloud service providers

· Prepare and manage Request for proposals (RFPs), evaluate vendor proposals, and oversee the sourcing lifecycle in line with organizational needs.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

· Build, manage, and evaluate strategic vendor relationships with cloud providers.

· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align cloud services with evolving business needs..

· Participate in contract negotiations and vendor performance reviews.

Financial Management:

· Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for all off-premises/cloud services.

· Conduct financial analysis to drive optimization, reduce waste, and ensure value delivery.

Risk, Compliance & Security:

· Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and security standards when working with cloud vendors.

Performance Monitoring  & Governance:

· Own the cloud/off-premises service portfolio, ensuring performance meets agreed SLAs and KPIs.

· Establish and manage service governance frameworks to monitor service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).

· –7 years of experience in cloud service management, IT service delivery, or a related function.

· Proven experience managing cloud-based services across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).

· Strong background in vendor management and procurement practices.

· Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Professional certifications such as ITIL, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are highly desirable.
