Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Permits

  • Oversee the preparation, filing, and renewal of permits, licenses, and registrations with both local government units and national regulatory bodies.
  • Safeguard the company's full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Keep an updated and well-maintained record of all permits, licenses, and renewal schedules.

Contracts & Documentation

  • Draft, review, and enhance contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments.
  • Verify that all documents are legally sound and aligned with corporate policies.
  • Maintain a reliable system for monitoring and tracking contract lifecycles.

Corporate Registration & Governance

  • Handle SEC requirements including incorporation, amendments, annual filings, and other statutory obligations.
  • Support corporate governance activities such as preparing board resolutions and secretary's certificates.

Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Guide and supervise legal assistants or paralegals in their day-to-day tasks.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, coaching, and performance appraisals.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to deliver efficient legal support.

Advisory & Risk Management

  • Provide sound legal advice on regulatory, compliance, and contractual issues.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and recommend preventive solutions.
  • Engage with external counsels for specialized legal concerns when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) graduate.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in corporate law, compliance, or supervisory work.
  • Solid background in corporate, labor, and contract law.
  • Hands-on experience with SEC processes and LGU permits.
  • Strong leadership capability with excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
