Join a US-based business seeking a reliable Financial Administrative Assistant to provide bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping.


Job Highlights

Role Name: Financial Administrative Assistant

Hourly Rate: 250+

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 20 hours (Part-time)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Client Timezone: Eastern Time (US)

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly bookkeeping tasks including account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures
  • Manage email communications and respond to customer requests and inquiries
  • Handle payroll processing through ACH system for 1099 contractors
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and maintain expense records
  • Pull reports from online booking system and create analytical schedules
  • Assist with compliance requirements including city and state business licenses
  • Provide controller-level analysis and financial reporting
  • Support general back-office operations and administrative tasks
  • Potentially handle phone and text communications with customers (mainly text)
  • Assist with cleanup and organization of financial records from the previous year

Requirements
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar platforms)
  • Previous bookkeeping or financial data entry experience
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • International experience working with US-based companies preferred
  • Ability to work some overlapping hours with US Eastern Time Zone
  • Proficiency in creating reports and financial schedules
  • Experience with payroll processing and ACH systems
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain consistent record-keeping
