The HVAC Technician shall be responsible for maintaining the mechanical equipment in the building and providing all other employees regarding information on the proper use of said equipment

1.    Maintains all mechanical equipment in the building such as air conditioning units, sprinklers, Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) generator set, elevator, and escalator

2.    Conducts preventive maintenance and monitoring of mechanical equipment

3.    Assists in performing the daily maintenance and repair of all mechanical-related equipment in the store, warehouse or head office

4.    Identifies and repairs defective mechanical equipment. For minor services, such as charging of freon, cleaning of air con, etc., conducts repairs then reports the matter to the Maintenance Supervisor/Assistant Maintenance Supervisor.   For major services, oversees the contractors in the repair of said defect upon instruction of the Maintenance Manager

5.    Ensures the tools that are utilized for maintenance of mechanical equipment such as aircon thermometer, pressure gauge, socket range, adjustable range and open/close range are readily available and in good working condition

6.    Operates generator set during brownouts and regular weekly warm-ups

7.    Repairs minor problems involving the generator set

8.    Repairs steel fixtures that require welding

9.    Installs air conditioning equipment such as pumps, safety controls, etc. upon instruction by the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor

10.    Monitors and reports needed supplies to the Maintenance Assistant Supervisor

11.    Documents service/assistance rendered in a logbook

12.    Coordinates the completion or status of service, maintenance and repair with requesting department
