Job Summary:

The Finance Reporting Accountant is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial records and reports. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards, assists in the preparation of financial statements, supports audits, and provides management with timely and reliable financial information for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
  • Consolidate financial results across various departments, projects, or entities.
  • Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and financial performance summaries.
  • Ensure timely submission of all required financial reports to management and regulatory bodies.

2. General Accounting

  • Record and reconcile journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analyses.
  • Support management in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

4. Compliance and Audit Support

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Maintain proper documentation and support for all accounting transactions.

5. Process Improvement

  • Participate in streamlining accounting processes and improving reporting systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting software or ERP system enhancements.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for cost efficiency and internal control improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • Certification:
    CPA license preferred but not required.
  • Experience:
    At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Soft Skills:
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
