Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a vital and accountable supporting role in the successful execution of the Equities operations team and join a dynamic and high performing group.

The candidate's day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Own day-to-day equities trade support and settlements, manage our FinClear relationship (settlement agent) and key systems (Iress, Bloomberg), and potentially train as a supervisory analyst to assist the equities research team in approving publications.
  • Oversee the full trade lifecycle: order capture in Iress, allocations/confirmations (CTM/FIX), clearing and ASX/CHESS settlement through FinClear and fail management.
  • Triage and resolve unmatched trades, SSI issues, and settlement exceptions with FinClear's ops team.
  • Run daily cash, stock, and trade reconciliations; manage stock borrow/loan where needed; forecast funding/settlement.
  • Monitor and action corporate actions impacts on settlements.
  • Assist with onboarding clients.
  • Work with Technology team on interfaces (FIX, SWIFT), job scheduling, monitoring/alerts, resilience/DR testing.
  • Responsibility for data management of the various Tableau and AI systems that are implemented.

Key Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following personal and professional attributes:

  • 4–8 years in equities operations/settlements or middle office (sell-side/buy-side/custody/prime).
  • Client onboarding/SSI governance, allocations/confirmations (CTM/FIX), and fail management.
  • Proven vendor management experience.
  • A strong desire to add new skills to assist across the Equities platform as the role out of data and software tools increases efficiency in the broader business.
