Job Overview

We're seeking a skilled ETL Data Engineer with a strong background in data engineering or data science. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with metadata ETL, APIs, and tools like Python. Familiarity with search engine technologies especially within ecommerce environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test connectors to ingest and transform catalog data and metadata into search engine-compatible formats
  • Optimize data ingestion processes, including performance benchmarking and quality improvements
  • Collaborate with data owners, API subject matter experts, and technical architects to understand source system schemas
  • Support API enhancements and integration efforts, including backup coverage for full-stack engineering tasks
  • Conduct bug analysis, identify root causes, document findings, and implement/test fixes across workstreams
  • Ensure secure and incremental data mappings aligned with project requirements
  • Communicate effectively in English with internal teams and client stakeholders on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data engineering or data science
  • Proficiency in Python or similar data engineering tools
  • Experience working with search engines, ideally in ecommerce applications
  • Strong understanding of metadata ETL and API integration
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills in English
