US Payroll Specialist with 10k Sign On Bonus

Job Summary

The US Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities


• Prepare and process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees.

• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.

• Maintain and update employee payroll records.

• Collaborate with HR to manage payroll data in the payroll system.

• Stay updated on payroll regulations and tax laws.

• Assist with year-end tax reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.

• Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Collaborate with Accounting for accurate financial reporting.

• Respond to employee inquiries on payroll and deductions.

• Support audits and assist with documentation requests.

• Identify and implement process improvements for payroll efficiency.

• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline operations.

Qualifications and Requirements


• Experienced in using payroll software and performing payroll-related tasks in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data entry, formulas, and reconciliations).

• Demonstrated ability to prepare, process, and reconcile payroll accurately and on schedule.

• Consistently maintains high accuracy and organization when handling large volumes of payroll data.

• Applies analytical thinking and problem-solving to identify discrepancies and resolve payroll issues efficiently.

• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills to interact with payroll vendors, finance, and support compensation & benefits.

Screening Criteria


• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).

• At least two (2) years of payroll processing experience.

• Must have a stable employment history.
