Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Work Setup: Onsite

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Philippine Time)

Location: Mattina IT Park, Davao City

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll, maintaining compliance with tax and employment regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees and management. This role requires strong analytical skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

At the beginning, the main responsibility will be preparing the payrolls across the Group (6 entities) and updating, based on emails, the tracker that records any changes to be made to the salaried staffs normal wages.

As the hire gains more experience, the role will expand to include additional payroll responsibilities, such as contract preparation and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and review payroll accurately and on time across all six entities.

  • Update and maintain the payroll tracker to reflect any changes to salaried employees normal wages based on communications received.

  • Ensure compliance with government-mandated regulations and tax requirements.

  • Maintain employee records and timesheets securely, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Prepare payroll reports and support audits, reconciliations, and end-of-period reporting.

  • Handle employee pay and tax-related queries promptly and professionally.

  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to validate data, resolve discrepancies, and improve payroll processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 2-3 years' experience Payroll Manager, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Officer, or Payroll Administrator.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll systems or HRIS platforms.

  • Experience with Employment Hero is highly preferred; Australian payroll experience is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling payroll data.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
