HR Assistant

Position Overview:
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant assists the HR Head in handling all the department's processes, such as recruitment, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, learning and development, etc. Aside from working with the Finance Department, they also work closely with the Executives in strategizing ways to improve the company culture, employee morale, employee engagement, and ensuring that all processes are compliant with the country's labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
- Coordinating with the Executives and team managers with regard to hiring needs
- Sourcing for candidates in job platforms like Indeed.
- Screening applicants, administering interviews, and coordinating and scheduling the final interviews with the respective team managers and Executives
- Closely coordinating with the applicants via email or calls, from the interview stage to the offer-stage if applicable, to address concerns and negotiations
Employee engagement
- Assisting the HR Head with the planning, preparation and execution of Employee Engagement initiatives and programs, such as Team Building, company outings, seasonal parties, and other projects that aim to increase employee morale
- Researching for the best trends, practices, and ideas for Employee engagement initiatives
Compensation and Benefits
- Assisting with the timely and proper disbursement of payroll for all types of employees, while ensuring compliance with all related labor laws and regulations
- Assist with managing and addressing all employee concerns regarding payroll
- Closely coordinating with Executives and with the Finance department for all matters regarding payroll, such as employee work hours, output, updated salaries, etc.
- Utilizing and improving the company's payroll system to ensure smooth operations with regard to payroll
Employee journey
- Onboarding new hires and ensuring that they are properly integrated into the company and their respective teams
- Assisting with the seasonal employee performance evaluations and appraisals while ensuring its confidentiality and efficiency
- Searching for and implementing necessary trainings, seminars, courses, and workshops that aim to develop the employees' skills and career growth
- Ensuring that all employees go through the proper probationary period and are regularized appropriately while following due process and company standards
- Offboarding outgoing employees while ensuring that all relevant employee files, projects, and final pays are properly turned over, signed and disbursed if applicable
Employee relations and support
- Creating and assisting with the implementation of company policies, in the form of company memos, Employee Handbook, online systems, etc.
- Ensuring that all policies and processes are compliant with the country's labor laws and regulations with regard to both the employee and company welfare
- Assisting the HR head with mediating employee concerns to management and assisting management in addressing all concerns in a timely manner
- Assisting with all employee disciplinary cases in accordance with the company policies and labor laws while ensuring confidentiality and due process for all relevant parties
Files and Databases management
- Managing, updating, and protecting all employee files and databases
- Ensuring the timely submission of employee requirements for the company databases and compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Closely coordinating with the Admin and Finance department for updating and collecting all files and databases, while maintaining strict confidentiality
Qualifications:
- 0-1 year of working experience as an HR Associate or other related roles
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or any related degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in prior HR work is an advantage but not required
- Excellent active listening, attention to detail, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Working knowledge of HR Systems, databases, labor laws and HR best practices is an advantage but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Fresh graduate
Pay: Php18, Php22,000.00 per month
