IT Sr. Software Developer I

The Sr. Software Developer I is responsible for managing and developing business applications, implementing process automation solutions, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of PCS's software ecosystem. The role also involves supporting the integration of enterprise systems such as SAP, Power BI, MS Teams, and Odoo, as well as driving automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency across departments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Applications & Services Management

• Administer and maintain business applications such as:

• Enterprise Systems: SAP, Power BI, Odoo, and other MIS platforms

• Web and Dashboard Platforms: Internal and external websites, analytics dashboards

• Ensure optimal application performance, availability, and scalability.

• Manage system configurations, integration scripts, and version updates.

• Coordinate with the Infrastructure Team for application hosting and cloud resource optimization.

B. Process Automation

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of workflow and process automation solutions.

• Implement RPA (Robotic Process Automation), Power Automate, or similar tools to streamline business processes.

• Conduct requirements gathering and business process analysis with users to identify automation opportunities.

• Document automation logic, workflows, and post-deployment performance metrics.

C. Cybersecurity and Data Protection

• Implement application-level security controls, user access management, and data encryption where required.

• Coordinate with the IT Lead and Infrastructure Team to ensure application security aligns with company standards.

• Perform regular application vulnerability reviews and patch management.

D. Governance and Compliance

• Ensure all applications adhere to IT governance, audit, and compliance requirements.

• Maintain updated documentation for application configurations, workflows, and automation logic.

• Participate in IT audits, ensuring software components meet policy and data protection standards.

E. Support and Collaboration

• Provide technical support for application-related incidents and requests.

• Collaborate with business units to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.

• Train end-users on new applications, features, and process automation tools.

E. Learning and Development

• Participate in training sessions on PCS IT systems, tools, and support procedures.

• Learn IT operational standards, escalation workflows, and compliance practices.

• Develop technical and customer service skills to prepare for progression to higher helpdesk levels.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.

Professional Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in IT automation, digital transformation, or related field.

• Experience or certification in Project Management (e.g. Agile, Scrum, PMP, or internal PM Framework)

• Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Odoo, PowerBI and Microsoft 365 is highly preferred.

• Background in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar) is an advantage.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., Python, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript).

• Experience in Power Platform, Odoo customization, or API integration.

• Familiarity with RPA tools, workflow automation, and data visualization platforms.

• Understanding of cybersecurity practices and application lifecycle management.
