Job Description

As a CAD Drafting Technician, you'll create accurate digital floor plans, BIM models, and architectural packages for global users of advanced spatial measurement technology. You will transform real-world structures into reliable digital representations while working closely with experts across engineering, design, and data-driven drafting.

The Qualifications We Seek

Education:

  • Degree or diploma (completed or in progress) in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent

Experience:

  • 1+ years of CAD drafting experience
  • 1+ years of BIM modeling experience

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Verisk Xactimate
  • Ability to produce precise, detailed floor plans and models
  • Strong quality assurance and accuracy validation skills
  • Solid understanding of architectural and engineering drafting standards
  • High attention to detail and output consistency
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlines
  • Adaptability across CAD platforms and project types

Your Daily Tasks

  • Create iGUIDE Floor Plans using Planitar's proprietary software for residential, commercial, and insurance restoration clients
  • Create ESX Floor Plan Sketches using Verisk's Xactimate software for insurance restoration claims
  • Create DWG Floor Plans and RVT Models using Autodesk's Revit for architecture, construction, and engineering projects
  • Build 3D Isometric Models for interior design and virtual staging clients
  • Prepare full architectural floor plan packages in Revit
  • Ensure quality assurance in all drafting outputs, maintaining compliance with standards and client expectations
  • Report issues that arise during production to the iGUIDE Drafting Shift Leader
  • Participate in cross-functional, continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete other tasks such as AI annotations, market research, and case studies as needed
  • Consistently achieve KPI targets for drafting accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency
