Job Description

As a Draft Technician, you will produce detailed floor plans, 3D models, and architectural packages across various project types. You'll work with multiple drafting tools, ensure output accuracy, support continuous improvement efforts, and contribute to consistently high-quality deliverables for global clients.

The Qualifications We Seek

Education

  • Obtained or currently working towards a degree or diploma in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent

Experience

  • 1+ years of CAD drafting experience
  • 1+ years of BIM modeling experience

Skills

  • CAD Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Autodesk's Revit and Verisk's Xactimate
  • Drafting and Preparation: Ability to develop and prepare detailed floor plan drawings with precision
  • Quality Assurance: Skills in performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in engineering-related fields, providing a strong grasp of drafting principles
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for producing accurate, high-quality drawings
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot drafting or software-related issues
  • Organizational Skills: Strong task and workflow management capabilities
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work with different CAD software and project requirements

Your Daily Tasks

  • Create iGUIDE Floor Plans using Planitar's proprietary software for Residential, Commercial & Insurance Restoration clients
  • Create ESX Floor Plan Sketches using Verisk's Xactimate software for insurance restoration claims
  • Create DWG Floor Plans and RVT Models using Autodesk's Revit for architecture, construction, and engineering projects
  • Build 3D Isometric Models for interior design and virtual staging clients
  • Prepare full Architectural Floor Plan Packages in Revit
  • Ensure quality assurance in all drafting outputs, maintaining compliance with standards and client expectations
  • Report issues that arise during production to the iGUIDE Drafting Shift Leader
  • Participate in cross-functional, continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete other tasks such as AI annotations, market research, and case studies as needed
  • Consistently achieve KPI targets for drafting accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency
