Job Description:

The Marketing & Shipping Manager oversees the department's daily operations and workflow, ensuring smooth coordination and timely communication with top management and both internal and external stakeholders. The role covers export, logistics, marketing, and other operational functions, including leading meetings, negotiating contracts, monitoring payments and shipments, coordinating with international sales offices, and supporting product development and promotional initiatives. The position also entails staff supervision and administrative duties within the department. Candidates must be willing to work in Makati City.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and oversees the daily operation and workflow of the department.
  • Updates top management of booking status.
  • Reviews and approves payment and supply requisitions.
  • Reviews and approves shipping documents before sending to customers.
  • Reviews and approves requests for samples before sending to customers.
  • Reviews and approves loaded containers prior release from the factory.
  • Negotiates and executes contracts in behalf of the company.
  • Leads the weekly production meeting with the factory.
  • Ensures shipments are paid on time by strictly monitoring payment status.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date price indication with sales offices abroad.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date product availability with sales offices abroad.
  • Ensures all buyers' concerns are actioned at the soonest possible time.
  • Ensures all agreed conditions in purchase orders are adhered to.
  • Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of products.
  • Gathers and analyzes information to identify new markets and customers and demand for products and services.
  • Collaborates in the development of new products.
  • Collaborates, participates in, and coordinates promotional activities or trade shows.
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly business review presentation for approval of the operating unit head.
  • Responsible for the preparation of yearly budget presentation for approval of the operating unit head.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Accompanies/travels with buyers for plant visit.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the OUH.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a 4-year bachelor's degree in finance, business administration/management, or related field.
  • With at least 5 years experience in food manufacturing, marketing, export, and logistics operations in a managerial capacity.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Aptitude for learning new software and systems.
  • Strong leadership and planning skills.
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods.
  • Highly organized and knowledgeable in marketing and logistics operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures and different business functions.
  • Able to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
  • With negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Willingness to work in Makati City.
  • Can start immediately.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php40, Php45,000.00 per month
