SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and client-oriented Virtualization Systems Administrator to join our growing technical team. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing large-scale virtualization infrastructures across Linux, with hands on Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) Virtualization, and VDI platforms experience. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Linux environments, virtualization technologies, and hands-on troubleshooting of hardware, networking, and system issues. The position also involves handling L2/L3 escalations, collaborating with clients, and ensuring reliable day-to-day infrastructure operations.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization infrastructure built on Linux KVM and related platforms.
  • Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments, prioritizing practical experience over certifications.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and hardware issues to maintain high system performance.
  • Handle L2/L3 escalations, conduct advanced diagnostics, and resolve outages or performance issues.
  • Manage and support VDI technologies such as Inuvika and Leostream.
  • Monitor and maintain system capacity, storage, and performance using tools such as Enable (MDM), Site 24/7, Manage Engine, Centrion, and Netbox.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure effective communication and timely problem resolution.
  • Document processes, configurations, and solutions clearly and consistently.
  • Support migrations, infrastructure improvements, and project initiatives as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Linux administration and actual Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) Virtualization experience.
  • Strong background in virtualization platforms, VDI technologies, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Solid experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of hardware, networking, and infrastructure systems (Dell, HP, Aruba, Fortigate, Pure Storage).
  • Excellent client-facing communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience managing complex infrastructure and supporting enterprise-scale environments.

PREFERRED / GOOD-TO-HAVE SKILLS
  • Familiarity with Apache Cloudstack (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of Inuvika and Leostream VDI solutions (brand experience transferable).
  • Exposure to Pure Storage, Dell, HP, Aruba, and Fortigate systems.
  • Experience with scripting or automation for infrastructure tasks.
