About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide frontline and operational support for our networking, security, and observability systems. You will work hands-on with Linux environments, networking tools, and monitoring platforms while assisting in troubleshooting, system stability, and customer issue resolution. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical support skills who enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for networking, security, and monitoring systems

  • Troubleshoot Linux systems, network connectivity, and service issues

  • Support IDS/IPS tools such as Suricata or Snort (monitoring, basic tuning, and alert handling)

  • Assist in managing monitoring dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, and Node-RED

  • Perform system health checks, log reviews, and preventive maintenance

  • Support automation scripts and workflows using Python or Bash

  • Handle incident tickets, alerts, escalations, and root cause documentation

  • Assist in system testing, validation, and deployment support

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and SOPs

  • Coordinate with software engineers, network engineers, and security teams

  • Participate in operational reviews and technical reporting

  • Stay up-to-date with tools, technologies, and best practices in IT support and security

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1–3 years of experience in Technical Support, IT Support, or Systems Support

  • Working knowledge of:

  • Linux operating systems

  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, bridging)

  • Basic firewall and security concepts

  • Familiarity with:

  • Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Node-RED)

  • IDS/IPS platforms such as Suricata or Snort

  • Scripting with Python or Bash

  • Experience using ticketing systems and remote support tools

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Wazuh or similar security monitoring platforms

  • Familiarity with nftables or NetworkManager

  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Basic experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD workflows
