About the role

This is a full-time position as a QS Engineer at JRBUILDERS COMPANY INC., based in Taguig City, Metro Manila. Asa QS Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quantity surveying activities for the company's construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimations and budgeting.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other project documents to quantify materials and labour requirements
  • Monitor and track project costs, identifying potential cost overruns and proposing solutions
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information
  • Prepare progress reports and cost forecasts for management
  • Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and contract documents
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure the effective delivery of construction projects

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer in the construction industry
  • Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software, such as CostX or VICO
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with construction contract administration and procurement processes
