Civil and Structural Estimator

Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate cost estimates for civil and structural scopes
  • Perform quantity take-offs for site works, concrete, rebar, formwork, steel structures, and related components
  • Prepare cost breakdowns based on labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor pricing, and indirect costs
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and validate cost assumptions
  • Participate in tender strategy meetings and provide input on cost competitiveness and risks
  • Ensure estimates are compliant with client specifications, codes, and standards
  • Develop and maintain cost databases and unit price libraries for benchmarking and future use
  • Support value engineering efforts and identify cost-saving alternatives
  • Assist in preparing technical and commercial documentation for tender submissions
  • Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and quantity surveyors to align cost estimates with execution plans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in civil and structural estimation in construction projects
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Candy, Pronamics) and MS Excel
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and local market rates
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and time management skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
