Job Description: Tank Trailer Truck Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tank Trailer Truck Mechanic to perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty tank trailer trucks. This role is essential to ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of our fleet. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on tank trailer trucks, including:
  • Diesel engines
  • Braking systems (air and hydraulic)
  • Axles and suspensions
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Fuel tanks and pumps
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems; carry out necessary repairs efficiently.
  • Inspect, test, and repair specialized equipment including:
  • Fuel pumps
  • Emergency shut-off systems
  • Spill containment devices
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime, including:
  • Oil and fluid changes
  • Tire inspections and replacements
  • Brake inspections and adjustments
  • Air system checks and servicing
  • Perform structural and functional repairs on tank trailers, including:
  • Leak detection and sealing
  • Valve replacement
  • Pressure testing
  • Maintain accurate service records and comply with all safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or vocational certification in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, or related fields preferred.

  • Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy-duty truck or trailer maintenance, with specific experience in tank trailers or similar equipment.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, fuel systems, and tank operations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php700.00 per day
