Job Purpose

The role is responsible for the support of aircraft maintenance activities in compliance with company standards.

Key Accountabilities:

Assist with inspect, test, troubleshoot and service the aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic equipment during daily operation (for Avionics Technician)

Assist with inspect, test, troubleshoot and service the aircraft mechanical work during daily operation (for Airframe Technician)

Remove, install, and test aircraft components as directed by engineers or technical manuals.

Ensure correct part identification and handling procedures are followed.

Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed.

Set up and operate ground support and test equipment.

Ensure all maintenance tasks assigned are carried out in a timely manner and under appropriate procedure.

Liaise with those departments necessary to complete the tasks.

Work effectively with engineers, fellow technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth maintenance operations.

10.  Communicate clearly about task progress, issues, and needs.

11.  Document work performed on the aircraft into the computerized system.

12.  Ensure the working area always maintains neat and tidy condition.

13.  Maintain good team collaborate.

14.  Ensure all time bookings are accurate.

15.  Assist Maintenance Supervisor, and support Quality Assurance to investigate and report on aircraft incidents and raise safety report as required.

16.  Raise safety reports on any deficiencies which may have an adverse effect on airworthiness and serviceability of tools / equipment found.

17.  Participate in training programs and stay updated on aircraft systems, maintenance techniques, and safety practices.

18.  Seek feedback and guidance to improve technical skills and performance.

19.  Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the Manager, Aircraft Maintenance

Job Specifications

Education:

·      Diploma or above in Engineering or relevant disciplines

·      CAAP license (A&P or AMS)

Experience

· Minimum of 3 years of work experience.

Specific Competencies, Skills and Knowledge

·      Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings (for avionics technician)

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·      Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and structural maintenance tasks.

·      Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

·      Familiarity with aircraft systems (e.g., landing gear, flight controls, hydraulics, avionics).

·      Careful documentation of work performed and findings.

·      Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and hazard identification.

·      Commitment to using PPE and following safety procedures.

·      Ability to work effectively within a team of engineers and technicians.

·      Clear communication of task status, issues, and findings.

·      Flexibility to work in various environments (e.g., hangar, ramp, line maintenance).

·      Ability to adjust to changing schedules and priorities.

·      Knowledge of Human Factors in aviation

·      Basic PC skills

·      No 9 to 5 mentality
