1. Regulatory Compliance: Preparation, Filing, and Payment (BIR, SEC, and Other Government Agencies)

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and remittance of all statutory tax obligations with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), including:
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns such as VAT (2550M/2550Q), Income Tax (1701/1702), Withholding Tax on Compensation (1601C), Expanded Withholding Tax (1601E/F), and Final Withholding Tax returns.
  • Submission of required attachments such as the Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes (SAWT), Alphalist of Employees (2316), and other related schedules.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines to prevent late filings and penalties, maintaining a compliance calendar for all BIR and SEC obligations.
  • Facilitate the preparation and submission of General Information Sheets (GIS) and Audited Financial Statements (AFS) to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), ensuring compliance with statutory timelines and format.
  • Assist in other filings required by government agencies such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, LGUs, and PEZA (if applicable).
  • Ensure that supporting documents and records are properly maintained and readily available for audit or reviewby regulatory authorities.

2. Revenue Reconciliation and Bookkeeping

  • Record, classify, and post all sales and revenue transactions into the accounting system accurately and promptly, in accordance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliation of revenues, comparing reports from point-of-sale (POS) systems, bank deposits, payment gateways, and customer billings to identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain updated general ledger and subsidiary ledgers related to revenues, receivables, and adjustments.
  • Investigate variances or unrecorded income and prepare necessary journal entries or adjustments to ensure accuracy of reported figures.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and treasury teams to validate revenue recognition and ensure completeness and accuracy of collections.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and company policies in all bookkeeping and revenue-related transactions.

3. Financial Reporting and Audit Support

  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports such as monthly management reports, budget performance reviews, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
  • Generate and compile financial data and schedules for internal stakeholders, providing insights on revenue trends, cost allocation, and profitability.
  • Support the Finance Manager or Accounting Head in the preparation of external financial statements for submission to auditors, SEC, banks, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits, providing requested documentation such as vouchers, ledgers, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
  • Ensure that financial reports are compliant with regulatory requirements, submitted on time, and aligned with the company's internal controls and procedures.
