About the role

' is seeking a talented and experienced General Accounting Officer to join our team in our Makati City office. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and government regulations particularly tax matters.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise all regular accounting processes such as A/P , A/R and Journal Entries plus monthly closure of accounts.
  • Validation of recorded transactions in the accounting system to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly schedules of identified accounts (lapsing, prepayments, accruals).
  • Monitor and implement all accounts payable check activation and wire transactions.
  • Administer all bank transactions and oversee data recording procedures monthly.
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts and resolving any discrepancies
  • Liaising with external auditors to facilitate the audit process
  • Deliver a full range of compliance of the following within the expected timeframe (w/holding taxes, Final Tax, Income Tax, DST, Registrations, Other business taxes and responding to tax audits).
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in a general accounting role, preferably in retail and wholesale of Food and Beverage industry
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, PFRS and relevant tax regulations
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
