About the role

Zirconia Inc' is seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this full-time, office-based role in Makati City Metro Manila, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets
  • Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and liaising with external auditors
  • Implementing and improving financial controls and procedures to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve reporting
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial services or professional services industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards and regulations
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
