The Industrial Engineer Specialist supports our engineering and operations teams in optimizing processes, enhancing efficiency, and improving productivity. This role will play a critical part in bridging engineering expertise and operational excellence to ensure that process designs and improvements meet the needs of the business and the realities of restaurant operations.

PART OF THE SCOPE WOULD BE:

  • Conduct time-and-motion studies and process mapping to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.

  • Work with engineers and operations to design and implement 3Cs (Codify, Certify, Confirm) that align with best practices and efficiency targets.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations on equipment usage, capacity planning, and production scheduling.

  • Monitor the impact of process changes through KPIs and provide regular reports to management on progress and outcomes.

  • Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to support operational excellence initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations analysis, preferably in hospitality, food service, or manufacturing.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and training teams.
  • Proficient in conducting time-and-motion studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, production scheduling, and equipment utilization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or custom platforms) to track, prioritize, and resolve operational or engineering issues.
  • Proven ability to follow through on open tickets, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely closure and documentation of resolutions.
  • Strong project management skills—capable of managing multiple concurrent improvement initiatives and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to interface with engineering, operations, and restaurant-level staff.
