Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Senior Operations Manager to own and optimize our end-to-end global operations for Gura Gear, a premium direct-to-consumer brand that designs and manufactures high-performance camera bags and accessories. This remote role reports to the COO and is ideal for a supply chain professional with experience in freight, warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment in a fast-paced DTC environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse & Fulfillment Management: Oversee Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners in Asia, North America, and Europe. Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for order fulfillment, returns, and inventory accuracy are consistently met. Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process improvements to reduce errors, costs, and delays.
- Freight & Logistics Coordination: Manage all freight activities from Vietnam manufacturing to global warehouses, as well as freight between warehouses.
- Inventory & Demand Planning: Develop and execute inventory forecasts and demand plans to ensure a healthy stock position. Oversee inventory accuracy and implement cycle counting procedures.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the operations team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop dashboards and reports to track inventory health, fulfillment performance, and freight spend. Partner with Product, Finance, and Marketing teams on new launches, promotions, and managing demand surges. Support sustainability and compliance goals in operations and shipping.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, with DTC or consumer goods experience required.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience with Shopify, 3PL integrations, and order/inventory platforms like Fishbowl, ShipBob, NetSuite, or ShipHero. Proficient in inventory forecasting, demand planning, and warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Excellent analytical and communication skills, with experience in Excel and inventory analytics tools.
- Other: Hands-on knowledge of international freight and customs, particularly between Vietnam, the U.S., and the E.U.. Experience managing remote partners and cross-border teams. Must have a process-driven mindset with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Nice to Have: Familiarity with the D2C outdoor gear, travel, or photography industries; knowledge of sustainability best practices; and fluency in Vietnamese or prior experience working with Vietnamese manufacturers.
