Job Summary

The Senior Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations and ensuring the organization's efficiency, profitability, and long-term sustainability. This role provides strategic and operational leadership, drives process improvements, and ensures service delivery excellence across departments. The Senior Operations Director partners with executive leadership to translate business goals into operational strategies while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's vision and goals.
  • Lead, oversee, and optimize day-to-day operations across business units.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor operational metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with senior executives in strategic planning, resource allocation, and decision-making.
Process Excellence & Performance Management
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation to enhance productivity.
  • Oversee quality assurance and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Implement best practices for cost optimization and operational excellence.
People Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operations leaders and their teams.
  • Build a high-performance culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and results.
  • Drive succession planning and workforce capability development.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Oversee operational budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.
  • Monitor operational costs and implement initiatives to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources to support business objectives.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks through robust governance frameworks.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and ethical practices across operations.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
  • Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide regular operational reports and insights to executive leadership and the Board.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in driving process transformation, digitalization, or shared services is an advantage.
