We are looking for a full-time remote Bookkeeping / Accounting Assistant to join our education software company. This is a long-term role focused on helping us manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and compliance across our Dutch and U.S. business entities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily bookkeeping using Exact Online (accounting software)
  • Issuing and following up on invoices (accounts receivable)
  • Gathering billing details from customers (POs, tax IDs, billing contacts)
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Vendor payments and accounts payable tracking
  • VAT (Dutch) and sales tax (U.S.) filings with external accounting partners
  • Monthly financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Supporting audit prep and improving accounting processes

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting for international companies
  • Strong experience with Exact Online (must-have)
  • Experience with accounts receivable and customer communication (complete PO info, follow up for payments etc)
  • Excellent English skills
  • Comfortable working independently and across time zones (we are based in the Netherlands)

Nice to have:

  • SaaS / Software bookkeeping experience or startup experience
  • Dashboarding and reporting
