The Head Office Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate records of collections and disbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies, and safeguarding company funds. Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, count, and verify cash and checks from branches, departments, and clients.
  • Issue official receipts and ensure accurate recording of transactions in the accounting system.
  • Safeguard all cash and checks; prepare bank deposits.
  • Monitor petty cash fund and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Handle disbursements and cash advances in line with company policies.
  • Maintain updated and accurate cashbook and reconcile with bank deposits.
  • Prepare cash position reports and submit to Finance Manager.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities by providing required cash records.
  • Coordinate with banks for deposits, withdrawals, and related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Support finance and accounting staff in related administrative and clerical tasks.
