Category Buyer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Category Buyer to support our procurement and supply chain functions. This role is vital in ensuring timely and accurate purchasing, monitoring of shipments, coordination of stock movements, and support for marketing-related activities. You will work closely with product costing teams, importation, warehouse, sales, and marketing to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement and Costing

• Assist in preparing purchase requisitions and coordinate with Product Management team to ensure accurate costing.
• Maintain updated lead time information and encode new item codes in the system.
• Process purchase orders in the system based on received supplier invoices.

Supply Chain Support

• Monitor incoming shipments and coordinate with the Importation Department regarding vessel arrivals.
• Participate in weekly inventory reviews with the Warehouse team.

Stock Movement Coordination

• Collaborate with Sales and Warehouse teams to track stock levels and identify fast- and slow-moving items for accurate forecasting.

Claims and Rebates Handling

• Stay informed on the claims process for all brands.
• Manage and process marketing support documents and rebate claims accurately.

Campaign and Marketing Support

• Assist in preparing campaign bundles and deals in coordination with Sales and Marketing teams.
• Support guerrilla and thematic campaigns by coordinating necessary product support and logistics.

General Administrative Support

• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisors or department heads.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related course.
• With at least 1–2 years of relevant work experience in procurement or supply chain is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php25,000.00 per month
