Job Description

As a Broker Monitoring Officer, you will review loan applications, assess compliance with legislative requirements, and provide constructive feedback to brokers. You'll ensure accuracy, uphold credit standards, and play a vital role in maintaining integrity within the mortgage and real estate industry.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong compliance background
• Highly preferred: experience within the Australian mortgage industry
• Understanding of key legislation such as NCCP Act, Responsible Lending, Privacy Act, Best Interest Duty
• Experience working in Banking, Finance, or Financial Services
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Great attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong people management, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skills

Your Daily Tasks

• Review loan applications and supporting documents per compliance and legislative requirements
• Evaluate loan applications to identify issues and ensure alignment with Credit Standards Review
• Examine and verify documentation thoroughly with due diligence
• Work independently to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet targets
• Provide clear written feedback to brokers regarding quality issues and improvements
• Engage in team and departmental events to contribute to a strong team culture
