
Cashier (Project-Based)

Cashier is responsible for handling financial transactions, managing the clinic's cash flow, and ensuring accurate and organized record-keeping. The cashier also serves as a key point of contact for clients making payments and inquiries related to billing and payments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Cash Handling & Transactions
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment methods.
- Collect and record payments for pet services, grooming, and retail products.
- Maintain appropriate levels of change in the cash drawer and request replenishments when necessary.
- Issue receipts, handle returns or refunds, and process any transaction adjustments per Luxuri Pets' policies.
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the system.
Customer Service & Client Interaction
Greet and assist customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Answer questions regarding services, pricing, payment options, and ongoing promotions.
- Handle billing-related concerns and escalate unresolved issues to the Store Manager when needed.
- Deliver a smooth and positive checkout experience that reflects the Luxuri Pets brand
3. Cash Reconciliation & Reporting
- Open and close the cash register with accurate cash counts and documentation.
- Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts at the end of each shift.
- Generate and submit daily sales and transaction reports to the Store Manager or Finance Lead.
- Promptly report any transaction errors, system malfunctions, or discrepancies.
4. Operational Support
- Keep the cashier station and surrounding area clean, organized, and presentable.
- Adhere to Luxuri Pets' financial policies and procedures at all times.
- Support administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
- Cooperate with team members to maintain smooth store operations and superior customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred).
- At least 1 year of cashier or retail experience, preferably in a pet store, boutique, or service-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and responsibility in cash handling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic knowledge of pet products and services is a plus.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and professional in handling transactions.
