We are looking for an organized Operations Assistant to join the Export/Import Shipping team of a leading Freight Forwarding company in Australia.

Job Description:

As an Operations Assistant, you'll help manage shipments, prepare shipping documents, and ensure everything runs smoothly with export/import operations. You'll work closely with the logistics team and assist with various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in freight forwarding.
  • Must be tech-savvy and able to quickly adapt to new learnings.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Confident when speaking with Australians.
  • Experience in the forwarding/logistics field.
  • Expertise in the end-to-end shipping process, from Exports to Imports (Australia, New Zealand, USA, Worldwide)
  • Experience with Expedient software is a plus.

Must be able to work at the Talisay Cebu Office ASAP.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage export/import shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Communicate with shipping carriers, overseas agents, trucking companies and customs brokers to track shipments and resolve any issues.
  • Monitor shipment status, ensuring on-time delivery and addressing any delays or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and documentation.
  • Assist with inventory management and shipment scheduling.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to shipping status and delivery timelines.
  • Support the operations team with general administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
