1.1 Regular Duties

1.1.1 Attends the engineering operations daily briefing.

1.1.2 Receives and attends to specific tasks and work instructions the Safety Engineer issues mainly for those jobs involving rectification of unsafe working conditions found during previous inspection rounds and completion of in-progress jobs.

1.1.3 Assists the Safety Engineer in his inspection rounds in the hotel especially in all the function rooms with scheduled events to check if engager's arrangements/rooms decorations are in compliance with the Safety provisions of "Manila Hotel Function Set-up Rules & Regulations."

1.1.4 Performs the periodical monitoring, inspection and inventory-taking of all the Hotel's fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue equipment.

1.1.5 Assists the Safety Engineer in the implementation of the Hotel's safety policy, rules and regulations and ensures compliance of the building and its occupants on the applicable provisions of the Fire Code of the Philippines including those national and local ordinances appertaining safety.

1.1.6 Participates on other related concerns regarding engineering operations agenda for the day.

1.2 Occasional Duties

1.2.1 Assists the Safety Engineer in the conduct of safety training of Hotel personnel and if required, for engagers, contractors, etc.

1.2.2 Upon the direct instruction of the Safety Engineer performs other duties as may be assigned.

1.3 Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior. (Does not apply to top management.)

2.0 QUALIFICATIONS:

2.1 Education

2.1.1 Applicable vocational course preferably in building, electrical and safety training

2.2 Work Experience/s:

2.2.1 At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in related field, or as building technician

2.3 Special Qualities/ Skills Required:

2.3.1 Must have good communication skills.

2.3.2 Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure.

2.3.3 Must be highly motivated and result-oriented.
