Job Summary

We are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our growing team in Ortigas The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, handling payables and receivables, supporting tax compliance, and assisting in financial reporting. You'll help keep our accounting operations organized, compliant, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and post transactions accurately using Xero Accounting Software.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements and validate all recorded transactions.
  • Handle accounts payable — voucher preparation, invoice validation, and payment processing.
  • Support month-end closing and prepare necessary journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Reconcile inventory records with system and physical counts.
  • Assist in BIR tax filing (monthly, quarterly, annual) and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies when required.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain organized filing of accounting documents and reports.
  • Support management in generating financial summaries and reports.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related roles.
  • Experience using Xero or other accounting systems is an advantage.
  • Background in bank reconciliation, tax filing, and government compliance preferred.

Other:

  • Must be willing to be hired for Project Based for 4 months as reliever
  • Willing to be employed under an agency/third party.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in Xero or similar platforms
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and basic taxation
  • Excellent in Microsoft Excel and financial documentation
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
  • Team player with a professional and proactive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php22,000.00 per month
