Job Summary:

The position is responsible for the timely recording of transactions and preparation of accurate financial reports to ensure that the company meets its reporting requirements to management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders. The role also ensures compliance with financial reporting requirements set by government regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, and books of accounts of the company's subsidiaries.
  • Perform month-end closing of books.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement schedules (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) for submission.
  • Prepare statutory reports, including mandatory submissions to the BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, HDMF, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Liaise with representatives from relevant government agencies.
  • Prepare and timely submit requirements for annual audit.
  • Respond to queries from auditors in connection with submitted requirements.
  • Review draft audited financial statements prior to final submission.
  • Handle annual renewal of company registrations and permits.
  • Process billings/invoices for payment and prepare related vouchers and journal entries.
  • Coordinate with HMO and insurance providers.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Immediate Superior.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in general accounting and taxation.
  • Experience in investments accounting is highly preferred.
  • Independent, resourceful, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Preferably with experience in a computerized accounting system environment.
  • Experience in accounting system migration is an advantage.
