Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily production activities to ensure that products are manufactured on time, meet quality standards, and are produced efficiently. This role serves as a link between various departments such as purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and quality control to ensure smooth workflow in the production process.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare and update production schedules based on orders and priorities.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure availability of raw materials, manpower, and equipment.
  • Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.

2. Communication & Liaison

  • Act as the central point of communication between production teams, suppliers, and management.
  • Relay instructions and updates from management to the production floor.
  • Address production-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

3. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure that production processes meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control department for inspections and product testing.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, output, and delays.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports for management review.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Assist in training and orienting production staff on workflow procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
