JOB DESCRIPTION

INVENTORY & LOGISTICS OFFICER

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of raw materials, boat parts, consumables, and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and prepare material replenishment requests to avoid shortages.
  • Implement proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials in the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Officer for timely procurement of needed materials.
  • Track and manage usage of fiberglass materials, resins, paints, and other boat components.

Logistics and Distribution

  • Plan and coordinate the transport of finished boats and materials between suppliers, factory, and clients.
  • Schedule deliveries and dispatches ensuring safety, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Liaise with transport providers, shipping agencies, and customers regarding delivery schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of boats and materials to prevent damage.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and maintenance schedule of company vehicles used for logistics.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate inventory reports, stock cards, and delivery records.
  • Maintain documentation for inbound and outbound shipments including waybills, gate passes, and delivery receipts.
  • Coordinate with Accounting for reconciliation of material costs and shipment expenses.
  • Prepare monthly inventory and logistics performance reports.

Compliance and Coordination

  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and company policies in all warehousing and transport activities.
  • Work closely with the Production, Purchasing, and Admin departments for smooth operations.
  • Support periodic internal and external audits of inventory and logistics records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in inventory and logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or boat-building environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory systems, warehouse procedures, and logistics coordination.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory software.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Physically fit and able to supervise loading/unloading of materials and boats.
  • With valid driver's license is an advantage.
