Position Description:
- The Accounting Assistant is responsible for ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of project-related transactions. Key duties include monitoring, tracking, and recording all project expenses, categorizing them according to project codes and cost centers. The role involves prompt processing of vendor and contractor billings, preparing detailed expense reports, and assisting in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts. The Accounting Associate reconciles month-end balances, prepares and posts adjusting journal entries, and supports the project accountant in generating financial reports and analysis for stakeholders. This position is crucial for maintaining compliance with project budgets and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
● Monitor, track, and record all project-related expenses to ensure accuracy and compliance with project budgets.
● Ensure expenses are accurately categorized according to project codes and cost centers.
● Process vendor and contractor billings promptly, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
● Prepare detailed expense reports for project tracking and management review.
● Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts to support effective project planning.
● Reconcile month-end balances to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
● Prepare and post adjusting journal entries to correct discrepancies and reflect accurate financial data.
● Support the project accountant in generating financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
Reports Needed:
● Daily: ○ Prepares vouchers and invoices. ○ Tracking and recording of all project-related expenses. ● Weekly: ○ Process subcontractor billings and maintain updated records. ○ Prepare weekly reports on actual expenses and payables. ○ Record and review liquidation of expenses.
● Monthly: ○ Reconcile month-end balances of subcontractors. ○ Prepare the subcontractor payable book. ○ Record monthly adjustments and ensure accuracy of financial records.
● Annually: ○ Provide necessary documents and support for audits. ○ Prepare year-end project expense reports.
● As Needed: ○ Prepare special financial reports for management and stakeholders. ○ Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested. ○ Handle administrative tasks related to project accounting.
Job Requirements:
● Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant field.
● At least 1 years relevant experience, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
● Must have a bookkeeping certificate.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the integrity of financial data. The ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php20, Php23,000.00 per month
