We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Billing Support Associate to join our expanding Billing Support team. You'll work alongside existing PH-based associates to provide outstanding support to our users on all things billing, payments, and subscriptions, helping us scale coverage and maintain a high bar for quality.

Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class billing and account support via email/tickets

  • Respond to questions about invoices, charges, payment failures, subscription tiers, renewals, and refunds.

Investigate and resolve billing issues accurately

  • Review account history, usage, and payment records to find the root cause of issues and apply our policies fairly and consistently.

Collaborate with Technical Support and Engineering

  • Escalate complex account-related or edge-case issues with clear summaries and proposed next steps, working closely with existing Billing and Support teammates.

Contribute to documentation and FAQs

  • Help create and maintain billing FAQs, knowledge base articles, macros, and internal SOPs to make future interactions smoother for users and the team.

Identify trends and prevent repeat issues

  • Spot patterns in billing questions or failures and suggest improvements to payment processes, policies, or user flows.

Educate users on plans and usage

  • Explain plan features, usage limits, renewals, and billing best practices in clear, simple language.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer support, billing operations, finance operations, or a related role, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based environment.
  • Clear, concise written English with the ability to explain billing concepts to users with varying levels of understanding.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive or escalated billing conversations in a calm, professional tone.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to navigate multiple systems at once (ticketing tools, payment processors, internal dashboards) while keeping notes organized.
  • Ability to handle sensitive user data with empathy, confidentiality, and good judgment.
  • Self-starter with curiosity, creativity, and a bias for action—you ask questions, propose improvements, and follow through.

Based in the Philippines with a stable home internet connection.

Full-time role, hired as a contractor, with work hours generally aligned to US time zones, with some flexibility.

These aren't required, but knowledge/experience in these areas will likely make you a better fit for the role.

  • Experience with payment processors like Stripe or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with usage-based billing models or seat-based subscriptions.
  • Experience working in a ticket-based, high-volume support environment with clear SLAs and QA.
  • Experience supporting AI-powered products or developer tools.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup or remote, distributed team.
