This Financial Accountant opportunity is a new role in our growing International accounting department, supporting the international accounting team. This role will have a direct hand in crafting and developing the international finance function and do so with scale and growth in mind.

What you'll do at Figma

●      Maintain, review, and reconcile payroll data for international entities using Workday, ActivPayroll and BDO

●      Audit payroll data and ensure compliance with country-specific tax and social security regulations

●      Process and review payroll changes (new hires, terminations, salary adjustments).

●      Partner with the Accounting and Finance teams to provide insights on payroll-related variances and trends

●      Oversee timely and accurate submission of payroll-related tax filings and reports as required in each jurisdiction

●      Identify and implement payroll process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

●      Create and maintain comprehensive payroll operational process documentation

●      Deliver regular and ad-hoc payroll reports to internal teams including Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Equity, tailored to international reporting requirements

● years of full-cycle, multi-country payroll processing experience

●      Experience building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions

●      Some knowledge of international statutory payroll requirements, tax laws, and compliance frameworks

●      Ensure payroll accuracy by auditing data inputs such as time tracking, leave of absence, benefits, and variable pay, as well as strong knowledge of international statutory payroll requirements, tax laws, and compliance frameworks

●      Proficiency in Excel and comfort with data analysis and reconciliation.

●      Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

●      Experience at a high growth B2B SaaS company

●      Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

●      Previous involvement in payroll transformation or system implementation projects.

●      Understanding of SOX compliance and experience working in a public company environment.

●      Working knowledge of equity compensation and how it affects payroll (e.g., RSUs, ESPPs).
