Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services in a cost-effective and timely manner. This role ensures that all purchases comply with company policies, quality standards, and budget requirements to support smooth operations and project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to meet operational and project needs.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, requests for quotation (RFQs), and bid documents.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, supplier information, and price histories.
  • Coordinate with end-users or departments to verify specifications and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Review and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, budget limits, and applicable regulations.
  • Support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives in procurement operations.
  • Prepare procurement reports and provide updates to management on spending, supplier performance, and potential risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP systems or procurement software is an advantage.
