RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Director of Finance to lead our Finance team. Reporting directly to the

General Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing management with assurance that resources are procured and utilized according to plans to achieve the Company's objectives. You are expected to ensure that all assets and properties of the Company are safeguarded and that accounting records are maintained in accordance with the bookkeeping requirements of various regulatory agencies. Additionally, you must establish financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to maximize the return on financial assets.

Furthermore, you must ensure that all transactions of the Company are properly recorded and accounted for in accordance with the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS). Responsibilities

• The Director of Finance is the economic and financial adviser to the

General Manager. He/she is primarily responsible for controlling and safeguarding the assets and all other properties of the hotel. In this respect, the Director of Finance must maintain the highest level of control, design an audit and internal control system, and ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and complied with.

• Controls the physical inventories of SOE and FF&E, ensuring their security and avoiding losses.
• Responsible for timely and reliable reporting on operating results to Aman resorts and the owning company, establishing forecasts, and fulfilling all legal and fiscal obligations.

The Director of Finance is also responsible for preparing the Operations Budget.

• Controls and follows up on all contracts, including insurances and legal documents, especially those with financial implications.

All contracts binding the property to third parties should be negotiated and signed by both the Director of Finance and General Manager. All contracts are reviewed first by the Director of Finance prior to signing by the General Manager.

• Responsible for the effective control of all costs, aiming to keep them as low as possible while achieving the desired quality and standard of service.
• Establishes, coordinates, and maintains, through authorized management, an integrated plan for the control of operations.

This plan will provide cost standards, expense budgets, sales forecasts, profit planning, and programs for capital investment and financing, along with the necessary procedures to effectuate the plan.

• Ensures that all transactions of the Company are properly booked, and accounting records are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Establishes and maintains adequate internal control to safeguard the assets of the business and ensures that these assets are fully covered by insurance.

Supervises and schedules inventory taking of fixed assets and operating equipment.

• Reviews monthly financial statements, management accounting packages, and other schedules/reports as required by management.
• Ensures adherence to reporting requirements of statutory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Master's degree in finance, business administration (MBA), or a related field an advantage.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
• Extensive experience in finance or accounting roles, including managerial positions in the hospitality industry experience
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, accounting software, Microsoft Excel).
• Knowledge of financial regulations and standards (e.g., PFRS).
• Ability to analyze financial data and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the finance team.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to management and stakeholders.
• High accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Effective problem-solving abilities to address financial issues.
