Purpose of the Position

The Finance Officer reports to the Finance and Systems Manager (FSM). He/She is responsible for various financial and accounting tasks and managing accounting records of the company. He/She must understand the complexity of finance and accounting and is comfortable working with details.

Key Result Area

Financial reporting

· Performs administrative tasks such as filing of financial documents and data entry in the system

· Assists the FSM with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Finance Department, including budget review and analysis

· Assists the FSM with the preparation of financial statements and reports

· Performs bank reconciliation and inventory counts

· Analyze and prepare reports for government requirements - VAT reports - Documentary Stamp Tax - Other applicable tax reports - SEC and other compliance reports

Control

· Conducts pre-audit on disbursement vouchers, travel expenses report and all supporting documents for all payments related to the activities of FLIDI

Other tasks

· Manage petty cash

· Process requisition and other business forms

· Keeping records and documenting financial process

· Collaborating with internal departments to reconcile any accounting discrepancies

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting, or in related field

· With knowledge of accounting standards, fiscal procedures, and applicable tax codes

· With high attention to detail

· With high collaboration and communication skills

· With strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of legal requirements and regulatory reporting for Lending Institutions
