The Internal Controls Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the internal control framework within the retail organization. This role ensures compliance with financial and operational policies, manages risk, and strengthens internal procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to minimize risk and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess internal control processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and review financial transactions and operational processes for compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist in the design and execution of internal control testing, ensuring proper documentation and reporting of findings.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend changes to improve internal controls and minimize risk exposure.
  • Report on internal control performance and compliance to senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal controls, auditing, or risk management, ideally within the retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, GAAP, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.

WORK ARRANGEMENT:

  • Monday to Friday (On-site)
  • 8am-6:30pm, 9am-7:30pm, or 10am-8:30pm
  • Location: E. Rodriguez Bagumbayan Libis, Quezon City (near Eastwood)
