Site Safety Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate toolbox meetings
  • Inspect and examine construction sites to identify potential hazards or hazardous situations
  • Create, evaluate, and implement health and safety programs and strategies
  • Write daily safety and health reports or injury logs
  • Verify the adequacy and safety of all work proposed tools and equipment
  • Performs emergency response drills
  • Responds to employees' safety concerns
  • Promotes safe practices at the job site
  • Enforces safety guidelines
  • Participates on the investigations of all accidents and near-misses
  • Will lead and supervise the Traffic Management Plan at working site
  • Other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mandatory forty (40) hours Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training
  • With valid/updated TESDA NCII for Scaffold Erection /Inspection
  • Can identify and check safe/correct scaffolding erection
  • With updated First Aid Training is an advantage
  • With electrical and railway safety experience is an advantage
  • College Undergraduate, Graduate, or Vocational Course or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate excellently in both oral and written format
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Amenable to work from Monday to Saturday
  • Amenable on shifting schedule and working overtime
  • Can work in a diverse environment.
