Financial Accountant (Internal Audit)

Location: Makati (Hybrid)

Schedule: Day Shift

Contract Duration: 6 months (January – June 2026)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Financial Accountant (Internal Audit) to join our team. The role involves supporting audit planning, execution, and reporting to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing the annual audit plan, schedules, and Audit Committee reports.
  • Coordinate and monitor audits conducted by regulators, external auditors, and other assurance providers.
  • Work with Senior Audit Managers in planning and executing audit engagements based on the approved audit plan and Global Internal Audit Standards.
  • Perform assigned audit tasks efficiently and within budget while maintaining audit quality.
  • Prepare accurate audit reports and assist in issue discussions and resolutions with management.
  • Manage assigned audit projects, investigations, or special reviews, ensuring timely completion and reporting.
  • Recommend process improvements and support continuous enhancement of audit quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy or a business-related course.
  • At least 7 years of internal or external audit experience in the insurance, financial, or related industry.
  • Supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Holder of a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (or equivalent,) is an advantage.
  • Experience in life insurance or financial services, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, is preferred.
  • Skilled in using data analytics tools (e.g., Galvanize/ACL, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with audit tools such as TeamMate is a plus.
